It is our pleasure to announce that DICID has recently published its new English version of the DICID’s Conference Proceedings Series. The book is titled “Role of Youth in Enhancing the Value of Dialogue”. It contains the main part of English papers delivered by various inter-religious, intercultural experts and activists at the 11th Doha Interfaith Conference that was held in Qatar in April 2014. It consists of over forty articles divided in accordance to the Conference major sub-themes, namely, Religious Perspectives on Youth, Opportunities and Challenges Facing Youth Today, Interfaith Dialogue for Youth, and Youth Contribution to Interfaith Dialogue. All the ideas that were discussed during the conference are mainly based on three religious backgrounds of Judaism, Christianity and Islam as well as on the authors’ own understandings and experiences of the concepts relating to youth, their role in inter-religious and intercultural development of humanity. In addition to the introduction written by the editor of the Proceedings, Prof. Ibrahim Alnaimi as the Chairman of DICID provided the volume with the preface, while Prof. Aisha al-Mannai, the Dean of Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies and the Deputy Chairman of DICID contributed to it by conclusion of afterword.

We sincerely hope that this volume, alongside its academic purpose as an important reference for further research and study, will contribute to better understanding of interfaith dialogue, especially among the young people, students and activists both in Qatar and abroad.

We would also like to state that the Arabic volume of the Proceedings under the same title will be published very soon.
