“مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا”

“whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.”

The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue/DICID condemns the heinous attack against civilians at Istanbul’s main airport, leaving dead and wounded, and causing considerable material damage.

The DICID expresses its full solidarity with the brotherly Turkish people and offers its sincere condolences and sympathy to the victims’ families and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.

The DICID strongly rejects all those criminal acts that clearly offend the principles and values of the Islamic religion that considers the protection of human life as its main objective.

The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, calls all peace-lovers, all over the world, to contribute in building bridges of peace through mutual understanding between communities.
