Recent years have witnessed unprecedented flagrant violations of human rights, manifested in the spread of human the phenomenon of human trafficking, injustice, the suppression of freedoms, the victims of war, displacement, exclusion and asylum, the oppression of women and child labor, the decline of freedom of expression and other human rights issues.

The preservation of human rights, regardless of religion, sex or color, is a basic right, in all the divine religions, guaranteed by God Almighty, and equated among all people, granting them the right to life, the right to dignity and the right to freedom, and all other human rights which does not violate the laws revealed by God Almighty. If we look at trough positive laws and civil legislation – in that matter such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights issued by the United Nations in 1948, as a universal document of fundamental human rights . We find that religious legislation preceded all these positive laws established for the Human Rights protection purpose .
For its part Islam has clearly established the Human Beings equality in creation and the right to life, Allah says: “O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women. Be careful of your duty toward Allah in Whom ye claim (your rights) of one another, and toward the wombs (that bare you). Lo! Allah hath been a watcher over you.”( An-Nissa: 1)

The Quran confirms God’s honor to the children of Adam: “Verily we have honored the children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment..” ( Al- Isra: 70).

The same meaning of human equality comes in the Bible: “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him “ (Romans 10:12)

In this regard, a large number of religious texts have called for the respect of human rights, and detailing its legislation, and the provisions of all international laws and covenants to preserve human rights, which shows not only the great interest, but the centrality of human rights from religious perspective
Hence, the Magazine Adyan/Religions issued by the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, has chosen for its 11th issue to address explore and analyze the topic of : Religions and Human Rights, in order to come up with solutions and recommendations that could contribute to solve problems that hinder the implementation and commitment of Human Rights in our societies today.
Contribution Conditions

– Sending research in either Arabic or English.
– Papers should be between 3000 to 4000 words, or between 10 to 15 pages.
– Researches should be written in Microsoft Word format with the font New Time font (14).

– The research should take into account the conditions of writing scientific research and be accompanied by margins, sources and references.
– Deadline: 31 October 2017.
