Dr. Ibrahim Al-Naimi Met with the Ambassador of Germany to Doha
Meet with the Ambassador of Germany
within the cooperation between the Doha Center for Interfaith dialogue and the embassies, Dr Ibrahim Al-Naimi, chairman of the DICID, has met the German Ambassador to Doha, HE Mr Hans- Udo Muzel.
The Ambassador handed an official invitation to Dr. Al_Naimi for handed an official invitation to Dr Ibrahim to take part to international Conference on interfaith that will be held, in collaboration with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Ibrahim welcomed to the Ambassador and he thanked the Diplomat for the keenness of Embassy to cooperate with the DICID in the field of interfaith Dialogue. He underlined the Qatar leadership vision which has ever supported and called for dialogue and reconciliation and peaceful resolution of conflicts and misunderstanding among people throughout the world, the DICID is one of the manifestations of this vision, on the ground .
Dr said that the DICID has already cooperate with German institution, through the participation of German scholars and experts to its annual Conferences, or the frequent visit of the Board of Directors member to attend to Conferences held there, in particular, with Universities that initiated the creation college f Islamic studies, Dr. Al-Naimi stressed that he was always in favor of the training of local imams to challenge.
For his part, the German Ambassador proposed to establish bilateral cooperation with the Center in areas that promote dialogue among the communities in Qatar, such as the organization of forum gathering the Qatari and German school s to create student interactions that enrich the dialogue among communities living in Qatar.
Dr. Al-Naimi welcomed the proposal, emphasizing that the DICID has already cooperated with Qatari independent schools, through the training courses on dialogue skills provided for students as well as teachers , this experience could be expanded to the other schools.
The visit concluded by the overview of the DICID’s activities presented by Dr. Ibrahim who mentions , which includes the annual conference, round tables, training courses, the various publications of the namely Adyan interfaith magazine , newsletters, and the selected Papers.
