Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue is pleased to present to its esteemed authors, readers and all followers the sixteenth issue titled “Physical and Spiritual Well-being: Religious Perspectives”. RELIGIONS is an annual and bilingual (English and Arabic) peer-reviewed journal for interfaith studies published by Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, dealing with interfaith dialogue and relations between Islam and other religions.

The choice of this theme is, of course, in conjunction with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the first-ever World Cup in the Middle East. The issue intended to provide a platform for researchers and academics to seriously consider the following topics: Religions, the priority of physical and psychological and human well-being.

The issue opened with a Dialogue with Mr. Hassan Al Thawadi, Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy – 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

In this issue, you will find many high-quality contributions in Arabic and English. English contributions include Spirituality and Sport: A Way towards Perfection, by Senad Mrahorović, Empowering Muslim Women and Girls through Sports, by Alena Demirovic and Mustafa Sefo, A New Age for Religious Demand: Spiritual Care and Mental Well-Being, written by Makoto Mizutani, Psychological Well-Being and Islam, contributed by Mohammad Aamir, Spirituality in Play, by Muhammed Shaahid Cassim, Islam, Malay, Women and Sports from the Brunei Darussalam Perspective submitted by Rozaitul Matzani and Majdey Zawawi, The influence of religious music in all religions: Empowering spirituality and psychological well-being among people, written by Saleem Zoughbi, Physical Health Promotion in Light of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Sunnah, contributed by Samar Elkhalifa and Wishah Elkhalifa as well as Torah, Bible, and Qur’an: Ethical Codes to Combat Racism in Sports authored by Sekou Marafa Toure. In addition to a book Review of ” Training the Body: Perspectives from Religion, Physical Culture and Sport” written by Senad Mrahorović.

It is worth mentioning that the issue contains Nine (9) other important papers written in Arabic and one book review paper.
We expect that readers will find a variety of intellectual contributions and discussions in Arabic and English on the topic of Physical and Spiritual Well-being: Religious Perspectives.
