It is with great sorrow that the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue receives the news of the passing of Professor Abdul Aziz SB Sahib yesterday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Jeddah, after ongoing heart surgery.
We ask Allah to bless him with His mercy and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.

Mr. Abdul Aziz SB was a prominent Indian Islamic personality and a staunch defender of Islam. He led many initiatives in the field of interfaith dialogue, and maintained a great relationship of cooperation and communication with the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue.

Abdul Aziz SB has always been at the forefront of Indian personalities who took it upon themselves to act on issues of dialogue and building relations with other communities. He also had good relations with many Indian leaders, and played an active role in organizing the interfaith symposium held in Kerala in collaboration with the Muslim World League – Makkah. He also had a prominent role in the development of the Islamic economy in India and was an advocate for the interests of the poor.
