08 May DICID condemns the attack on worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque

God Almighty says in the Quran: “And who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allah from being mentioned in His mosques and strive toward their destruction.” (2:114)

On these blessed days in the blessed month of Ramadan, in which every Muslim is keen to draw close to God Almighty by fasting, standing up, and righteous deeds, The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue deplores and vehemently denounces the repeated attacks on worshipers in the vicinity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, including the assault and intimidation of the peaceful worshipers, including women, children and loved ones and the blatant abuse on Friday night by the Israeli occupation army, which is considered a crime against internationally guaranteed human rights, a provocation to the feelings of Muslims.

As international laws guarantee freedom of worship for everyone, it is more important for those who respect those laws to abide by them and for everyone to denounce what the Palestinian worshipers are exposed to and to voice against those who prevent them from performing their rituals.

There is no doubt that the religious values advocated by all religions urge a person not to suffer harm and oppression from/to others, especially with regard to the practice of his religious rites.

The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue has repeatedly called that places of worship should be spared from all kinds of conflicts, the safety of all worshippers should be protected, and everyone who visits them should be protected.
