As part of its awareness and educational activities aiming to promote a culture of dialogue and coexistence among Qatari society components, the Doha International Religious Dialogue Center participated in the 28th edition of the Doha International Book Fair.

During the exhibition, members of the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue /DICID has presented and explained to the public its various activities such as Conferences, seminars , training courses targeting schools, Roundtables and publications, as a commitment of its role towards society and its contribution to the cultural and interfaith dialogue development .

For his part Dr. Ibrahim Al Naimi, Chairman of the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, said: stressed : “The Center seeks to enhance its awareness and educational role by through the participation in such important cultural events in Qatar, which represent a very distinguished communication channel for the local public , as well as Book fair guests from abroad.

He added : ” Today, more than ever, we feel that societies need to absorb and learn the culture of dialogue, and this is what the Center seeks to reach through its various activities”.

He also noticed that spreading the culture of dialogue between the younger generations today ensures that it continue in the future, and such events provide an opportunity to connect with these generations.
Al-Naimi pointed out that the Center’s pavilion displayed an overview of the DICID activities included publications( Adyan interfaith Journal, Conference Proceedings, Newsletter), in addition to various booklets related to the DICID ‘s.

The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue is Qatar’s leading institution for interreligious and intercultural dialogue, and capacity-building for dialogue and a culture of peace. The State of Qatar represented by the Doha International Center for the Dialogue of Religions believes that nation-building begins with the building of human beings. This building is done through cooperation with its fellow human beings to build a society based on mutual respect and co-existence in harmony and homogeneity regardless of different religions, cultures and races.
